Larry

I was just messin around and drawing different characters one night and I came up with this guy here. I decided to give him a voice and test out the auto lip sync in toon boom. So here it is:

Testing the Anchors

One of the things I like about using Toon Boom is the "Peg" feature. I can create pivot points very easily and rotate the limbs of the characters I create. I built a few little creatures and animated them to test this feature out. Here is a sample of one of those creatures:

Up till now....

...I have used a variety of different programs for animation. I used Flash and Photoshop for awhile to do different things, and simple animations. (I will try to get some of that stuff up here when I have some more time.) I also did a simple style of animation using a combination of Adobe Premiere and photoshop. But more recently I began using a program called "Toon Boom Studio" and am so far very happy with what I am able to do. I still use Sony Acid for all sound editing and Vegas Movie Studio for all my final editing - I have a fairly strong video eding background so I like cutting together scenes and adding all my text, graphics and transitions that way.

So when I began using Toon Boom, I started with a few tests, one was a simple walk cycle for a simple stick figure:
